• The homestay student/visitor agrees to abide by all reasonable house rules of the host family. • Keep your private living spaces clean and tidy, clean up after yourself. • You are responsible for your own transportation, personal care products, and international telephone calls. Please use a pre-paid phone card for any long-distance and overseas calls and phone calls should be kept short unless you have set up your own phone line under your own name. • Please tell your host family if you are not going to be home for meals, if you are going to be late or if you are staying away for the night. • The student/visitor will not use any illegal drugs in the homestay. • The student/visitor will not have guests in the home without consulting with the host family. • Smoking or heavy drinking is not permitted in the home unless expressly authorized by the host. • You are expected to have your own medical insurance. You are responsible for all your healthcare costs. • The Student/visitors must abide by the laws of China that pertain to this terms and conditions.
2. Liability
• The Homestay Student /visitor agrees to indemnify the host family for all loss or damages that he/she may cause. • The Homestay Student/visitor understands that CWEHS will do its utmost to select appropriate homestay based on the information provided by the student/visitor and agrees to release all claims of liability against CWEHS and its agents including any person or entity employed by CWEHS for any loss, injury damage, accident, or expense resulting from participation in this program.
3. Payment of Accommodation Fee
The Student/visitor agrees to pay CWEHS, for long-term homestay (4 weeks or more), US$ 100or 800RMB the application fee with the homestay application, the prepayment covering 50% of the full homestay fee is to be paid 14 business days prior to arrival, and the balance (50% of the full homestay fee) is to be paid to CWEHS within 2-3 day after your arrival in Beijing. If your arrival date is less than 4 weeks from application date, the US$100 or 800 RMB application fee and full homestay fee is due WITH the homestay application. For short-term homestay (5-27days),US$ 100 or 800RMB the application fee, the full homestay fee and airport pickup fee (if requested) must be made with the homestay application.
4.Host Change
We will allow homestay changes at no charge if you are not happy for good reason and a 15 days notice is given.
5.Cancellations, Early Departures and Refunds
In all cases, the homestay application fee is nonrefundable. All cancellations must be in writing and signed by the participant.
For long-term homestay
• No refund will be issued if full cancellation is made after arrival or cancellation is not received 14 days before your homestay start date. • Early Departures : Should you need to depart from your homestay earlier than originally scheduled, the remaining Homestay fee can be hold for your next registration with CWEHS. • Holiday: If you take a longer than 14 days holiday during your homestay, you must tell CWEHS at least 15 days before you go on a holiday. CWEHS will usually refund part of your homestay fee (about 50%) while you are away.
For short-term homestay
A refund of your full homestay fee and airport transfer fee less any bank charges will be granted if cancellation received 15 days or more before your homestay start date . No refund if cancellation received 14 days or less before your homestay start date.
6.Termination
The Homestay Student/visitor understands that CWEHS reserves the right to terminate without a refund his/her Homestay arrangement if the student /visitor is found to have behaved with gross misconduct or broke the law of China .
7.Departure/Arrival Detail
The Student/visitor agrees to notify CWEHS of all details and dates concerning your arrival with a minimum of 5 days advance notice.
